Full Bio:

Jonathan Ellerby, Ph.D. has a doctoral degree in Comparative Religions and is the Spiritual Program Director for the highly acclaimed Canyon Ranch Health Resorts. He has spent more than 20 years in a personal, professional, and academic exploration of the vast realm of spirituality, healing, and consciousness. This journey began at the age of 10 when he started having spiritual experiences and began a meditation practice.  In an effort to understand his experiences, he dove deeply into the spiritual literature of everything from Joseph Campbell to Hindu and Buddhist texts. His ongoing passion has led him around the world, and he has studied with spiritual teachers from more than 40 different cultural traditions. He has been mentored by a Lakota Sioux Native American healer for more than 15 years and by a Venda African healer for more than 7 years.

 

Dr. Jonathan is the author of Return to the Sacred: Ancient Pathways to Spiritual Awakening. It is both a guidebook to finding the spiritual path that works for each individual and a collection of colorful stories from Jonathan's extensive travels and spiritual journeys. He is also working on a new book, Inspiration Deficit Disorder: The No Pill Prescription to End High Stress, Low Energy, and Bad Habits, and has recently released a CD set titled Your Spiritual Personality: Finding the Best Practice For You. He has also authored a number of articles on topics ranging from indigenous healers to interfaith perspectives on healing to corporate accountability.

 

Dr. Jonathan is an ordained interfaith minister and has worked as a healer, teacher, and consultant in a diverse array of settings, including hospitals, major corporations, prisons, community groups, conferences, and health resorts. He is married to the woman of his dreams (literally!) and is the proud father of his son, Narayan. He is also a painter and an avid outdoorsman. 

Through speaking engagements, workshops, retreats, presentations, guided travel journeys, consulting, training, and ceremonial work, Jonathan Ellerby assists people in awakening to their spiritual connection and realizing their highest potential.
